Terms & Conditions

§ 1 Scope

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts between BuyEBike (owner: Levent Aydin, Weinbergsweg 4, 10119 Berlin) and the customer for the use of bicycles, e-bikes, accessories and the booking of guided tours and other services.

Deviating conditions of the customer are not recognised unless BuyEBike expressly agrees to their validity in writing.

§ 2 Formation of contract

The contract is formed upon booking confirmation by BuyEBike (by email or in person). For online bookings, the automatic confirmation email constitutes acceptance of the contract.

The customer must be at least 18 years of age at the time of contracting or be accompanied by a responsible adult.

§ 3 Bike rental — terms of use

Rented bicycles and e-bikes may only be used by the renter personally. Sub-letting or transfer to third parties is not permitted.

The renter is obliged to treat the vehicle with care and to inform BuyEBike immediately of any damage or defects.

Bicycles may only be used on public roads and cycle paths. Riding on terrain not designated for bicycles is prohibited.

Every renter is obliged to comply with applicable traffic regulations. Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended.

§ 4 Liability & deposit

In the event of loss or theft of the bicycle, the renter is liable for the replacement value. A deposit of €50–200 (depending on vehicle type) is retained at the start of the rental and refunded in full upon damage-free return.

BuyEBike is not liable for damage caused by improper use, disregard of traffic regulations or force majeure.

BuyEBike's liability for minor negligence is excluded insofar as no material contractual obligations are breached.

§ 5 Tours & bookings

Booked tours may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour start. Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged in full.

BuyEBike reserves the right to postpone or cancel tours in extreme weather conditions (storm, ice, heavy rain). In this case the full fee will be refunded or an alternative date offered.

The minimum number for guided group tours is 2 persons. If this is not reached, BuyEBike reserves the right to cancel the tour and refund the fee in full.

§ 6 Prices & payment

All prices are in euros and include statutory VAT. Payments on site are accepted in cash, by debit card or credit card. Online bookings are processed via the respective booking service provider.

For group tours of 10 or more persons, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is due at the time of booking.

§ 7 E-bike sales

Statutory warranty rights apply to the purchase of e-bikes. The warranty period is 2 years from the date of purchase.

Returns are possible within 14 days of receipt, provided the product is returned unused and in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer.

For Hitway products, the manufacturer's warranty conditions also apply. BuyEBike supports customers in processing warranty claims.

§ 8 Data protection

The collection and processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy, and applicable data protection laws (GDPR).

§ 9 Applicable law & jurisdiction

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is Berlin, provided the customer is a merchant or has no general place of jurisdiction in Germany.
